. >>> a moment of silence is planned this morning in connecticut to honor those who died in last week's mass shooting. cbs reporter marlie hall joins us now from newtown. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. it seems like every day here in newtown is a new sense of normal. an endless series of funerals and every day since the tragedy has been a day of mourning but today the nation will stop and remember. >> reporter: at 9:30 this morning, people here in newtown will stop what they're doing and observe a moment of silence to mark the one week point since a shooter killed 26 people at sandy hook elementary school.
